Deck Build in Weston, MA

A beautiful new deck install for our new Weston clients! Pressure treated deck and stair framing held the Pau Lope Ipe decking. Azek PVC trim was installed for all skirt boards, stair risers, joist trim and kick boards. The final step: two coats of Benjamin Moore Brilliant White for a clean, bright trim.

Before TCC Arrived: 

These homeowners wanted to add a beautiful back-deck to their existing home where nothing once stood before. For a structure this big, TCC came in to determine the space and where exactly the deck would be built. The clients worked hand-in-hand with the Home Consultant from TCC, from the architectural designs all the way through to the deck production.  

Our Process:

We built this brand new deck by first digging out the foundation and setting concrete footings into the ground. We used Pressure Treated framing, Azek PVC trim around the skirt boards and stair risers, and finished it all off with beautiful Pau Lope Ipe decking. Our painters applied two coats of Benjamin Moore Brilliant White paint to the new PVC composite trim and skirt boards, but left the Pau Lope decking unfinished. Using Pau Lope decking materials requires a unique skill set and understanding of how to properly install and maintain the deck. We left this decking material natural and unstained so that overtime it will oxidize and change into a soft grey patina. To protect the new deck from New England’s seasonal elements, our team sealed the deck with a clear, water resistant wax.

After TCC Left: 

This structure gave the homeowners a place to spend their days outside in the nice weather where they could entertain family and friends. Not only are they thrilled with the addition of this beautiful new deck, but it added nearly 500 square feet of living space and additional value to their home. The homeowner’s were a new client with Tom Curren Companies and have been so happy with our work since 2019, that we’ve just begun production on a bathroom renovation.
